Good morning Breeders.

A quick update on the birds. We have started road training at short distances. Birds are being released in several groups. So far after a a few tosses they are coming pretty good. Some are still getting together but no problems so far. We had a couple days with very strong winds so the birds loft flew on those days. Sunday a front came through with winds iver 30 mph. This early in the game i took no chances with that kind of wind. We should start moving on out soon and will be posting some tosses. Please remember that once the birds arrive from short tosses most will continue to fly for another hour which i like to see. Thats about it, i will keep working the birds from this point forward down the road. As long as the weather allows. I am not concerned with a late start for the series at all. They are calling for pretty mild weather here all the way through December if you can believe that!  I have flown birds here my entire life and never seen as much rain and humitity as we had this spring and summer. They are all equal when we start and will the good ones will be there. The birds i had the most trouble with as far as the molt were the May arrivals. Some are just now slicking up. On another note some have not recieved updates because they are going to your junk mail folder. If you do not get this update of coarse you won’t know but if any of your friends tell you they are not recieving updates please pass that information along to them. Thank you

Hello Breeders
The birds are doing well but not ready to road yet. I have some routing out great but the entire flock needs to get to that point before we start training. It has been a very tough year getting birds out regular every day into a routine because lofting birds took much longer with all the rain. We had over 50 inches i believe in our area during April, May and June. It was not possible to get the birds outside like i normally do during that time on a regular basis or they would have been soaked. We have plenty of time to be patient and get these birds where they need to be before pushing them out. Flagging has began and once i feel they are ready as an entire group we will go down the road. The birds look good! I will try and get some pictures up tomorrow on my website. Some of my updates on wincompanion have not gone out or ended up in spam or junk mail. I will try and contact Terry and find out what the problem is. We will start the series towards the last of October which is really not that late Providing we don’t have a week of bad weather come up. They are all equal once we start so i am trying not to rush them. November is usually a great month to fly birds in Oklahoma do no worries.  I will update the inventory list by Weds. We will have a good series!!

5-16-15 UPDATE

Hello Breeders

Our inventory is complete with the exception of one pen. That pen will be done by tonight. If any others are missing which I don’t think so, I will let you know  The following birds need to be replaced.

Jedds 116

KC. 4500

3 Stars & Son. 008

DTL 15060

YMTN. 26812

JEDDS 10738

GUEL  785

VK  5829

VIP. 338

TEXAS. 1023

JEDDS.  70

Ghetto 708

The birds are out today enjoying sunshine for the first time in a while. We will do another inventory June 1st. We are still lofting in birds daily and still recieving birds. Health is good overall but I will be watching the later birds very closely Before adding them to the flock. We have only had a few birds with any kind of health issue but as the weather heats up so can those problems. The birds are rotated being out by age groups so the younger ones don’t get carried off to far. That’s it for now. Good luck To all.
